- Abstract
Maharashtra is the third largest state of India. On the western side lies north Western Ghats and Konkan. Central part of the state is semi arid while eastern part has dry deciduous forest. Out of the 475 species of Elaterida of India, as recorded in literature, 52 species under 26 genera were reported from different parts of Maharashtra. Specimens were collected from different regions of the state. T
