The DIRECT BENEFIT TRANSFER system is an experiment in delivering services to citizens. It provide the guarantee that the funds are reaching the accounts of the beneficiaries. It also ensure that funds are withdrawn by beeficiaries themselves through the biometrics system. This system reduce the time and the cost of transferrinfg funds.This paper finds out the main advantages of DBT system and also finds out how this system can be useful in transferring funds to MGNREGA beneficiaries.
