Customer relationship management in co-operative banks with reference to post economic reforms scenario
- Abstract
Co-operative banking is retail and commercial banking organized on a co-operative basis. They follow the principle of equity among all. No profit and no loss but the benefit of all members. Co-operative banks have history of more than 100 years, particularly in India. These banks are important constituent of Indian Financial System. The business of banking depends on its employees and customers. The present banking scenario in Indiais witnessing sea changes. After the liberalization, globalization and privatization, there is great competition among the banks regarding the customer acquisition, profit maximization, customer retention and overall growth and expansion. The present study seeks to measure the satisfaction of customers and all the stakeholders with regard to services provided by the co-operative banks under study. This analysis would provide an insight to the co-operative banks as to where they are lacking and by how much to provide quality service to their customer, and how to improve in that area.
