Abhivaadan – a programme for felicitation of retired teachers

Event Details

A function was organised by the Alumni Association of the KJSSC on the eve of Guru Poornima to felicitate the retired teachers.  Eight teachers Mrs S. A. Kotwal, Mrs. R. A. Desai, Mrs V.P. Mehta, Mrs Asha Rao, Mrs.Nutan Navelkar (Retired from Dept of Chemistry) Mr. R.G. Kamath and Mr. Vishwas Joshi ( Retd from Department of Physics) ,Mr.E. E.D Cruz (Retd from Dept of Geology) were felicitated.

The members of the management committee of the alumni association Mr. Venkataraman, Dr. Ranjan Mogre, Dr. Krishnanand Hosalikar, Dr. Sugandha Shetye and Dr. Chitra Kamath were present on the occasion.

Principal Dr. Vijay Joshi delivered the welcome address. This was followed by a small speech by Mr. Venkataraman expressing gratitude to the teachers and his association with former Principal P.M.Rao.

The Head of SVV Alumni relations also spoke a few words on the occasion. The teachers were then felicitated. As a token of respect they were presented with a shawl coconut and flowers.

A small entertainment programme was presented by the alumni who were active participants of Asmita- a Marathi cultural festival of the college during their days in college. Finally a formal vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Chitra Kamath Co-ordinator of Alumni Association
