3 Colleges of Somaiya Vidyavihar - K J Somaiya College of Science and Commerce, K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce, S K Somaiya College of Arts, Science and Commerce carried out a flood relief campaign through mega donation drive, under the mentorship of Amit More, NSS Program Officer, K J Somaiya College of Science and Commerce. More than eight tonnes of foodgrains, oil, clothes, blankets, dry snacks and 5000+ sanitary napkins were collected. The collected aid was delivered to the flood affected people at Temghar village in Mahad, on July 29th, 2021. NSS Program Officers, Amit More, Sandeep Yadav and Prashant Ingle along with the NSS volunteers Pratham Date, Mihir Jain, Deepak Kumar Maurya, Robinsh Yadav, Parth Shah, Prathamesh Pol, Vinayak Vitekar and Parth Asar enthusiastically distributed the goods among the villagers as well as to Mumbai University's NSS Community Kitchen. The campaign received valuable guidance and support from Sudhir Puranik Sir, NSS Director, University of Mumbai and Vinod Deshmukh, a social activist from Mahad. With the encouragement of the Principals of the participating colleges, Dr. Pradnya Prabhu, Dr. Veena Sanekar and Dr. Manali Londhe the campaign was successful.
